04 - FROM CLAY TO CUP

Every piece starts with something very simple: a lump of clay.

From there, the process is slow. The clay is shaped by hand, adjusted, smoothed and refined. It is left to dry, glazed and eventually placed in the kiln, where heat transforms it into something strong and lasting.

There are many small steps between the beginning and the finished piece.

And maybe that’s what makes holding the final cup feel different.

What started as earth has become something familiar — something you reach for without thinking, something that sits on your table in the morning or between your hands on a quiet afternoon.

A cup doesn’t have to be extraordinary to become important.

Sometimes it simply becomes part of your everyday life.
